Congratulations 'Helen B', winner of 2 x first class return LNER train tickets!
New World Record Set!!! 29th June 2023.

Davey completed the challenge, setting a new World Record of 185 miles and 64 chains (299.0161 km). As soon as this is verified by Record Setter, I'll add the link (which will include the full video) here.

From Davey: A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped me to make this happen, and to everyone who has spread the word about CALM, and those who have donated. You can still donate here!

For anyone wondering, the Concept 2 Logbook entry shows a time of 2:21:43 and a distance of 26761m, so well over a half marathon!
Hello!
In June 2013 Train Manager Davey's best friend, Rob, took his own life. Nobody had any clue that anything was wrong.

For the 10 year anniversary of Rob's death, Davey wanted to do something to help raise awareness of the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and to raise funds to help support the vital work that they do.

So, on Thursday June 29th 2023, Davey will be attempting to set the World Record for 'The longest distance travelled by train, while rowing constantly'.

CALM is taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling hopeless, standing up to stereotypes and standing together to show life is always worth living. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. CALM exists to change this - by offering life-saving services, provoking national conversation, and bringing people together to reject living miserably.
The Route
From Leeds (1345) to London King's Cross (1601) on board 1A33, along LNER's mainline East Coast route.
